Stacking the Shelves : May 22nd, 2020

Hello, bookworms! Welcome to “Stacking the Shelves” meme hosted by Tynga Reviews and  Marlene of Reading Reality.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page!

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the books that I stacked on my shelves (whether they be virtual or not) this week.

NetGalley & Edelweiss

Other than blog tour books that were provided through NetGalley widget, I didn’t put in any requests either to NetGalley or Edelweiss 📚🙃 (No report for three weeks in a row!)

E-books (Voluntary Purchase)

My friends and I have been holding biweekly bookish Skype chats since the threats of the COVID-19 pandemic slowly crept into our country.
During our chat that lasted for 3 hours and a half (Oh, my) last Sunday, my friends mentioned Every Day and Big Little Lies are currently on sale, sold at around $1.39. Obviously, most of us grabbed our copies and I have actually started reading Every Day. Quite honestly, it blew my mind right from the beginning and I dare say I have never read anything like this before.

As for the Tea Shop Cozy Mystery Box set, I bought it at less than a dollar couple of days ago. I was reading Cupcakes and Conspiracies by the same author and I had a good feeling about the book. So much so, I decided to venture out into different series from Katherine Hayton as well. 📚🍪☕ However it turns out – whether or not I end up liking the series, it was less than a dollar; there’ll be no buyer’s remorse 😁

Blog Tour Books

I recently received these two books for upcoming blog tours.
I have been receiving copies for book blog tours, but I am now thinking of slowing down on book blog tours for a while.

I haven’t been reading any so-called ‘main stream books’ for quite some time, I simply haven’t had enough time for them.
That said though, I’m kind of missing the sense of comradery – buddyreading some best-sellers with my bookish friends and chating about them!

There you have it; this is my first post on Stacking the Shelves.

How about you? Have you purchased or been given any books this week?
Comment below and let me know!

Thanks for dropping by as always, and I will see you in my next post 🙂
