Goodreads Monday: July 22nd, 2019

Hello, bookworms! It’s time for another Goodreads Monday!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where we randomly select a book from our Goodreads To Be Read list and share it with the world. It’s hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners, so be sure to link back to her site so that we can all see what everyone plans to read!

Presented by James Patterson’s new children’s imprint, this deliciously creepy horror novel has a storyline inspired by the Ripper murders and an unexpected, blood-chilling conclusion…

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

The story’s shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this dazzling, #1 New York Times bestselling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget. (Goodreads)

I got this book with an intention to read it in last October as part of my own Spookathon, but par for the course, I didn’t get to read it and this book has been sleeping on my kindle since then.
That said though, I do have some horror rush every now and then, so this book remains on top of my TBR, I’ll most certainly read it by the end of October at the very latest!

That’s about it for today.
How about you? Have you read this book already? If you have, what are your thoughts?

Thank you so much for reading as always, and I’ll see you in my next post!
