Goodreads Monday: June 24th, 2019

Hello, bookworms!
I haven’t done this weekly meme for quite some time, but I want to blog more often, possibly on a regular basis even when I don’t make much progress in my reading.
Giving some thoughts to this, I’ve decided to bring back this weekly meme to share with you the books that’s been sitting on my TBR.

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where we randomly select a book from our Goodreads To Be Read list and share it with the world. It’s hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners, so be sure to link back to her site so that we can all see what everyone plans to read!

According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.

So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon—both of whom have lived amongst Earth’s mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle—are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist . . . (Goodreads)

I’ve had this book for so long on my TBR but haven’t gotten around to actually reading it. As I don’t watch NetFlix nor Hulu nor Amazon Prime videos (basically I don’t watch as many movies/dramas as you might do), it’s only recently that I got to know there’s a Netflix adaptation of this book.
Needless to say, that shed a new light on this book and made me want to read this once and for all.

I found the writing a bit challenging when I first got this book about 4 years ago, but hey, I’ve been an avid book lover for at least three years and that must have helped me grow as a reader. I cannot wait to read it and find what it’s like!

That’s about it for today.
How about you? Have you read this book already? If you have, what are your thoughts?

Thank you so much for reading as always, and I’ll see you in my next post!
