The last couple of days turned out pretty productive as far as reading goes, and I had a nice weekend doing some other stuff such as cleaning and watching a movie. Mentally refreshed and relaxed 🙂
Without further ado, let’s take a look at my reading updates!
Since my last update, I got to finish those three books. I enjoyed all of them but what struck me the most is perhaps Sleepless Night by Margriet de Moor. It was a very interesting, confusing, yet a stunning novella.
It may seem like taking forever, but I’m still reading The Willow Woman for sure! As I had totally forgotten to read the Arcs that I was approved last year, I’m just trying to prioritize reading them. I’m currently 35% in the book and planning to pick it back up once I’ve done with my other current read. Which leads me to…
Death on a Summer Morning by Betty Rowlands. The blurb, “An absolutely gripping cozy mystery novel” is not misleading. This is the 6th book in the Sukey Reynolds Mystery and I haven’t read the previous books, but I was pulled in the story right off the bat and didn’t feel confused at all. Granted, there are some mentions about supposedly previous cases that happened before this installment, but that really didn’t bother me and I’m really enjoying this book.
I’ve got only 30 minutes left in the book (according to my Kindle), so I think I’ll get to finish this book tonight and maybe able to write a review as well.
Since my last update, I went – literally – went bonkers on Arc requests and downloads and swallowed more than I could ever chew… I have as many as 16 ARCs on my shelf now…
The amazing and brilliant Shalini@Shalini’s Books & Reviews literally shed some light on how to navigate NetGalley and well… you guess the rest lol
I particularly went crazy on downloading/request cozy-mysteries, so you can expect an awful lot from that genre (just to warn you in advance)!
Here are some I got:
That’s about it for today.
How about you? How’s your reading coming along? Feel free to comment below!
Thank you so much for reading as always, and I’ll see you in my next post!
