Hello, friends! How’s your reading coming along? It’s time for another WWW Wednesday!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words.
To participate, just answer the three questions below and link back to her or put the link to your post in the comment section of her blog so that others can look at your answers!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Now onto this week’s 3Ws…
I’m currently reading those two books. As you can see, I’ve read (been reading) two Non-fiction books this month! It’s quite a rarity for me and I am surprised myself!
My fave so far is definitely This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay. Guys, this is, as the blurb says, painfully funny and hysterical!! Even the comments in the footnotes crack me up – I’m sure my nextdoor neighbor is wondering if I’m off my rocker! Although I’m only 20% into the book and there’s a lot of medical terms in it, the author walks me through each word with ridiculous funny anecdotes, it’s been such a pleasure to read this book!
Yet, Heidi is also such a pleasure to read; truth be told, I’ve never read the original before. I’ve only watched an animated edition when I was a kid so I was surprised to find the differences between the TV show and the book, and the at the same time, I was literally reliving my childhood. (Funny how unchanged I am for a bit offended by Heidi’s insistence on going back to the mountain rather than be a bit more appreciative and grateful for the life in Frankfurt… lol)
I finished these two books last week.
Click the title to read my thoughts 🙂
I got both books from NetGalley and they will be published by Prelude Books in September and November respectively.
I wish Death and Daisies featured a bit more of the magic garden, but I think they both make a good read when you want something light for a change 🙂
It is my first priority to finish the two books I’m currently reading (seriously, I’ve been a real slow reader lately), but once I’m finished with those, I think I’ll pick up the books below:
I’m being ambitious this week, but there’s a good reason for this. Lili@Lili’s Blissful Pages and I will be hosting another 24 Hour Readathon from Friday the 29th to Saturday the 30th!
As usual, the official announcement will be made by our amazing Lili, so if you care to join, just hop in! I hope I can take full advantage of this readathon and catch up on my NetGalley backlog! (Yes, I’m thinking of reading at least two books that I got from NetGalley during this Readathon. Fingers crossed!)
That’s it for today.
What are the books that you’re currently reading?
Have you finished any books recently? What books are you planning to read next?
Comment below and let me know!
Thank you so much for dropping by as always and I’ll see you all in my next post! 😉
