Hello, bookworms! It’s May already, where has time gone?? Time flies so fast!
Being a mood reader, TBR thing doesn’t usually work for me but today, I want to share with you the books I think I’m going to read this month 🙂
I have read/listened to a lot of psychological thrillers last month, but to be honest, I might have gotten a bit tired of slightly varied yet basically the same plot.
I do have a lot of psychological thrillers on my Kindle, so I will keep reading them needless to say (and it’s safe to say psychological thrillers make a perfect listen), but I want to throw in something different this month.
This TBR is totally tentative and it’s subject to change, but for now, I’m going to read these books:
Many of those books are on the dark/sombre side (at least for me), so I added some light reads to give myself a bit of a break. I aim for reading 10 – 11 books for now, but we’ll see if I can go beyond that!
As you might already know, I’m participating in a year-long reading challenge called ‘The Ultimate Reading Challenge’ (for rules, see here).
As you can see above, the parameter for May is to read a book set in a place you want to visit.
For this, I picked up this book:
You might not know this about me, but I was obsessed with the Moon when I was a kid. I implored and begged to my parents to buy me an astronomical telescope to which they gave me an emphatic NO. I was crushed. A few years later, I got a hand-me-down astronomical telescope from my maternal uncle and I was literally ecstatic, but it turned out to be useless; there were some missing parts. Again, my heart sank 😦
Long story short, the outer space especially the Moon is the place I still long to visit (impossible, I know) hence this book. It is non-fiction, a genre I would normally avoid, but for once, I’m going to commit to myself and actually read it.
There you have it; this is my May TBR.
How about yours? Have you read any of those books?
Comment below and let me know!
I hope you all a wonderful reading month. I’ll see you in my next post!
