April Book Haul

Hello, book lovers! Welcome to another Book Haul post!  I actually went on a super-crazy-literally-out-of-control book haul in March, but there were just too many, so I decided against posting it, I’m going to share with you the books that I bought in April instead.

I thought I kept my book-buying in check in April, but it turned out I bought almost as many books as I did in March!

Enough of my yakkin’, let’s dive in 🙂

Physical books

As soon as I finished reading ‘The Confession’ by John Grisham, I literally became a John-Grisham fangirl and I just couldn’t resist my urge to get some more books from him.
These are the books I was personally recommended by my online friends and they are now sitting on my bookshelf 🙂

e-books

Are you really sure you are ready to go into this?? Let me warn you, e-book haul turned out to be as crazy as that of March… but anyway, are you ready? Here we go.

See? That’s crazy. Thank god many of them are only $1~$3, but I must say I went a bit too far… I must have been off my rocker lol

Audiobooks

Thanks to Scribd, I only bought one audiobook last month other than using my monthly credits from Audible. I think getting audiobooks from Scribd and reading Kindle book will be the perfect balance for me and I think I’ll keep it that way 🙂

So, what do you think? It’s insanity, isn’t it?
Anyways, thank you so much for dropping by for April Book Haul post.
Comment below if you have read/have any of those, I will see you all in my next post 🙂

  1. Do you count the books you read from Scribd even though you’re not buying them? You got a lot of books this month. It was another small haul for me this month only getting 4 books or 6 if you count the two I listened to from Scribd but I’m not sure if I should count them or not.

    1. I know!! My Japanese bookish friends on Twitter CONSTANTLY AND INVARIABLY tweet about books and I always, without fail, end up buying them… lol Set a parameter seems like a great idea and it might work people like you, but for someone like me, whose willpower is so weak, I don’t think it works… Oh, my.

  2. 😂😂. I think many of us go overboard on books sometimes Noriko. It’s hard to demonstrate self control when you’re surrounded by so many beautiful, tempting books.

LOVED The Husband’s Secret!! Thought The Wife Between Us was just okay. I struggled through it, but I seem to be in the minority judging from all of the great reviews. I have the audiobook of Born A Crime, but haven’t listened to it yet. My friend loved it!! Just read a review from a fellow blogger about One of Us is Lying. She thought it was excellent. I have The Firm, but haven’t read the book. The movie is one of my favorites though.

An excellent lineup you’ve got there. Enjoy!! 😉

      1. The Firm is an EXCELLENT movie!! One of my favorites. It’s one of the rare times that it could be as good or better than the book. Now I have to try to read the book to find out. 🤦🏽‍♀️ 😊
