February Book Haul

Hello, book lovers! How are you doing lately?
Oh my gosh, I seemed to have done it again… despite my strong pledge NOT to buy books that are NOT absolutely necessary, I ended up buying way too many more books than I had originally planned…

Oh, well, what’s done is done. No use crying over spilt milk. So, let’s take a look at my crazy book haul!

Physical books

As I was in a huge Fantasy kick, I bought these two books on a whim. The way of Kings was not even on my radar, but my dear Twitter friend mentioned she liked it a lot, so I decided to get it. But, oh man. Little did I imagine it would be so bulky and heavy… I remember someone described his books weigh like bricks and I must tell you, this one is REALLY HEAVY lol

e-books

Although I have a physical copy of The Well of Ascension, I had to be away for Okinawa and desperately wanted to keep reading it, so I decided to buy a kindle edition.
In addition to these books, I’m in a habit of taking full advantage of the Whispersync function that’s available between Audible and kindle books, I bought some matching kindle books ๐Ÿ˜›

Audiobooks

OH. MY. GOSH. I don’t even know what got into me. But as you can see, I went on a massive audiobook shopping spree… but the blame is on Audible and some of my wicked Twitter friends, guys. I think the sale is still on, but the U.S. Audible is holding a huge sale on the first book in a series and you can get them from $4.95 a piece!!
I didn’t even know there was such a sale going on, but a single tweet from my dear Twitter friend sparked a string of tweets contemplating what book to buy and I ended up buying 12 books. 12 BOOKS. Oh, my.ย  I don’t even want to know how much money I ended up spending on books this month…ย  so I will turn a blind eye to my credit bill for next month… lol

Thank you for dropping by for February Book Haul post.
Let me know what books you got this month in the comments below and I’ll talk to you all again soon ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Ahh, I just recently read The Nightingale! I think you’ll really like it, Noriko. Ooh, I’ve heard good things about Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine. Did you ever get around to reading Far From the Tree?

      1. Aww you remembered?! โ™ก I hope you enjoy it. I really think you will! Though, I’ve read two other books by the same author recently & everyone raves about those ones, too but I personally didn’t enjoy either of them at all! :/

        1. Of course I remembered!! I’d had my eye on that one since you said you liked it! In fact, I feel the same way – I haven’t read his latest work, I’ve only read The Fault in Our Stars which many readers rave about, but it didn’t impress me that much… we are alike, right? I now cannot wait to read it and see what I think!

  4. No, never too many books! ๐Ÿ“šโค๐Ÿ“š One month I bought over 40,lol. I thought my hubby was going to flip. Oh well…I love books. Could have been 40 pairs of shoes, haha! You won’t regret reading Eleanor! It was one of my favorite books of 2017! I heard they were making a movie, so that’s exciting! I hope you enjoy it!

    1. My goodness, 40 books!! lol
But yes, I don’t think I’d ever buy 40 pairs of shoes or clothes in a month, but 40 books a month? That’s totally plausible!!
Hope you have a wonderful night, my sweet friend โค

  5. That’s quite a few books you have there! I’m a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson and I bought The Way of Kings quite a while ago and still haven’t manged to find the time to tackle that massive beast of a book. As for The Well of Ascension, I really hope you’re enjoying it. The Mistborn series is one of my favourites!
