Hello, bookworms! 🙂
Once again, the wonderful and sweet Misty@mistybookspace kindly tagged me for this fun (and easy) Currently Reading Book Tag!
It’s been a while since I got connected with her and I must say that I’m getting pretty much influenced by her taste in books! Thanks to her, I’ve read some books that I wouldn’t have picked up or wouldn’t have been willing to pick up… I simply LOVE how we influence each other through our loves for books! If you haven’t already, hurry over to Misty’s blog. She’s an amazing blogger and is someone to know if you love books 🙂
This tag is originally created by Charly Reynhorse and you can watch the video here.
Now, let’s dive into the questions!
How many books do you usually read at once?
It depends on the books I’m reading but I would say normally one or two books at a time. I don’t seem able to handle more than two books simultaneously.
Sometimes juggling multiple books works for me, but sometimes, it just doesn’t. I often find myself shoving the other book(s) aside and focus on one book which I am invested the most.
If you are reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch books?
Hard question! lol There’s no particular, hard-set rules for me. But I would say, I switch books when I feel like it (pretty vague, I know), or whenever I think I need to take a breather especially when the plot development gets a bit too intense/harrowing/disturbing or whatever reason which makes it a bit hard for me to keep on reading.
Or, I sometimes do things like reading one book at home and the other(s) at work or when I’m on the go.
Do you ever switch bookmarks while you are partway through a book?
Never. Not halfway. But I do try using bookmarks the color scheme of which matches the cover.
Where do you keep the book(s) you are currently reading?
On my couch. Sometimes I do put books on my desk (table), but mostly, they are sitting on my couch because it’s easy to pick up or put down.
What time of day do you spend the most time reading?
On weekdays, I read a lot after I get home from work so I would say in the evening. But at weekends, I usually stay at home so I pretty much read the entire day, literally from morning to dusk lol
How long do you typically read in one setting?
This depends on the book I’m reading or its plot. The more gripping the book is, the more likely I am to want to read without stopping. That said though, I don’t think I can read a couple of hours straight without taking a break, probably half an hour to one hour will be the answer.
Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?
Again, it depends on the book. Some hardbacks are comfortable enough to read with the dust jacket on, but if it encumbers me while reading, I take it off.
What position do you mainly use to read?
Which number are you? pic.twitter.com/IdOd5dQjdf
— Bookstr (@BookstrOfficial) November 21, 2017
Either 1 or two lol My couch doesn’t have armrests, so naturally No. 1 and 2. would be the closest to my default reading position. BUT if it had armrests as shown in the pic, No. 5 and 6 would also be most likely to be my default reading position. Oh, wait, #9 could be another option, too! Haha!
Do you take the book you are currently reading with you everywhere?
Yes! Always make sure that I have my current reads at hand so that I can knock out as many pages as I can even when I’m on the go.
How often do you update your Goodreads progress on the book you’re currently reading?
Every time I put down the book. Sometimes I feel a bit hesitant to update my Goodreads progress so often because it can often be only a few pages since my last update, but yes, I try to keep track of my reading progress whenever I put my books down 🙂
I don’t know how many of you have already done this tag, but this is such a fun tag and I want to know your reading habits, so I’m going to tag:
That’s it, guys! These are my answers for Currently Reading Book Tag 🙂
Thank you so much once again, Misty, for tagging me! It’s been fun!
I will see you in my next post, thank you for stopping by!
