TAG: Falltime Cozy Time Book Tag

Hello bookworms!
I know I’m a bit too late, but my lovely lost-twin (hehe) Naty@Naty’s Bookshelf has tagged me for this Falltime Cozy Time Book Tag!
To be honest, I tend to forget the plot-lines of books once I’m done with them and have moved on to my next reads, which is one of the reasons why tags like these are hard for me :’-)

Anyways, as I mentioned, Naty has been so special to me since we got connected here at WordPress. She is genuinely adorable and kind, and her book reviews are utterly brilliant. Hers are not as lengthy as mine and she really has a way with words and knows how to write concise yet insightful reviews. If you haven’t already, you should definitely check her out!
Thank you so much for tagging me, Naty 🙂

The original tag was created by Sam, you can see her channel here!

1) Crunching leaves: the world is full of color – choose a book that has reds/oranges/yellows on the cover

Hope Springs on Main Street by Olivia Miles. I saw this book at Bookbub last year and immediately fell in love with the cover. How autumnal it is! Isn’t it just pretty? ❤
This is a contemporary romance between two old friends, I think? (As I told you, I already forgot the synopsis… lol)  Story-wise, I think it was an easy, light read. I remember the ending, the Thanksgiving dinner was simply therapeutic, beautifully wrapping everything up.

2) Cozy sweater – it’s finally cold enough to don warm cozy clothing: what book gives you the warm fuzzies?

I can only pick ONE BOOK??? Noooo! These three books are my recent reads and they gave me an equal amount of warm fuzzies.
(Oh, but as for The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine, skip the first one; the first story is… kind of ‘meh’ for me. )

3) Fall storm: the wind is howling & the rain is pounding – choose your favorite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day

Although I haven’t read this one yet, I would go for The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson.
This is something I chatted with Kathy@Books & Munches the other day, but the dreary, stormy weather kind of puts me in a Fantasy mood. This is part of the reason why I tend to gravitate toward Fantasy books in winter. This book has been on my bookshelf along with the other two books in the series for nearly a year. I’m planning to read this next month. Yes!

4) Cool crisp air: what’s the coolest character you’d want to trade places with?

Lucy from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This is absolutely my favorite in the series (I’ve only read four books so far, though) and I am so envious of Lucy for being the one who first found Narnia. Isn’t it cool not only does she find Narnia but also later turns out to be the queen of the kingdom??? She can also pet AND straddle Aslan on their way to the white witches castle to liberate the ice-bound Narnians!

5) Hot apple cider: what under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

Honestly, I have no idea what book constitutes ‘under hyped book,’ and in my personal opinion, whether it’s hyped or not doesn’t really matter. Even if a book was under hyped, if the premise was interesting, I would read it anyway. Rather, I really don’t relish the idea of just following the hype or picking up the book just because everybody else is reading it UNLESS I’m genuinely interested to read the book. So, I have no answer to this. Sorry!

6) Coat, scarves, and mittens – the weather has turned cold & it’s time to cover up – what’s the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?

Fortunately, I don’t own a physical book with a cover that embarrasses me to read in public. But I would say romance books with a ripped, half-naked guy on the cover lol   That said though, it doesn’t mean I’m dead-set against it. Rather, it gives me the warm, fuzzy feelings (Aaaahhhh).  Such covers are simply so HOT that I have to avert my eyes. I cannot gaze at such covers, they make me blush (hahahahaha) ❤

Generally covers like these give me warm fuzzies ❤

7) Pumpkin spice: what’s your favorite fall time comforts food/foods?

I’m recently into apple cinnamon tea and having it pretty much every day lately. As for dessert, let’s see… probably pumpkin muffins??

8) Warm, cozy bonfire: spread the cozy warmth – who do you tag?

I know I’m kind of late for doing this tag. So, I won’t tag anyone in particular. If you are up for it, just play along 🙂

That’s it! Thank you so much once again, Naty for tagging me, it’s been so much fun!

Cannot believe we’ve got only 10 days left in November – how time flies!
The weather is getting wintry day by day around here, hope everyone keeps warm and not catch a cold!

Thank you for stopping by as always, and I’ll see you in my next post!

  2. I haven’t read the Mistborn Trilogy ither, but I totally agree with you about them. A big, in-depth book like that would feel so cozy when you’re trapped in the house because of bad weather.

  3. This was a fun post to read!! I’m like you; I forget the plot-lines to books once I move on to my next one! I don’t think I’d even be able to do this post but I loved reading your answers. Apple cinnamon tea is something I need to try, sounds yummy!!
