Thank you so much, Mischenko@ReadRantRock&Roll for nominating me for this One Lovely Blog Award!
Mischenko and I met about several months ago and she has always been such a sweetheart since then! If you haven’t already, go check out her blog! She’s got great content and her posts are really inspirational and the photos (especially food photos) are amazing!! I also love that she features picture books on her blog; that will surely make a great recommendation for Mom bloggers all over the world!
- Thank the person who nominated you

- Nominate 15 bloggers and inform them of the nomination
Seven Facts About Me:
1. I am a book addict. I used to be a YouTube junkie, but at the moment, I don’t even watch YouTube as often as I used to. Most of my spare time is spent on reading. I have a Kindle app on my PC and I always have my Kindle Fire and my iPhone with me so that I can squeeze reading even when I only have 10 minutes to read.
2. I am an introvert (believe it or not). I might come across pretty sociable and I probably am online, but my offline self is quite an introvert and tend to shun socializing as much as possible. I do a lot of talking at work, so I really need some quiet me-time once I get home. Otherwise, I’ll go crazy.
3. I dumped my boyfriend for the sake of online English lessons. A while ago, about 10 minutes prior to the lesson with a native American teacher, my ex called me and told me to come pick him up (he was out for drinks with his buddies). When I told him that I couldn’t and asked if he could kill another 45 minutes until the lesson was over, he displayed his annoyance by asking me if I would prioritize my English lessons over him. I snapped him by saying I always would and dumped him on the spot. I haven’t seen him since lol
4. When I was about 10 years old or so, I got hit by a motorcycle. I was biking out with my sister and there was a motorcycle coming behind us. I lost balance for some reason, and the next thing I knew, I was slammed against the brick walls that ran along the sidewalk but didn’t suffer any injury. I was right as rain. My sister told me I jumped off my bicycle the second the motorcycle hit me. Well, what good reflexes that I had! I am totally crappy at sports, though.
5. I love baking bread. It’s been a while since I last baked bread, but I might take it up once again now that I started listening to audiobooks. Here are some pics of the bread that I baked.
6. I am not a logical person; I am hopeless at mathematics/physics/science and those were my least favorite subjects in school. Honestly, I cannot make heads or tails of them PLUS I still don’t know why those were prerequisite subjects 😥
7. I love the warm, cozy feel that Christmas season brings. Although celebrating Christmas has never been a part of my life (due to our religion), my Grandma once indulged me and bought us a fake Christmas tree with colorful Christmas lights when I was a kid. I remember my big brother chided me for being disrespectful to our religion, but I was only 6 years old back then and I was extremely happy gazing at the decorated Christmas tree. It’s actually on my bucket list to visit the country that celebrates Christmas at Christmas time.

As most of the bloggers I wanted to nominate have already been nominated, so I cannot pick up as many as 15 bloggers. Sorry!
Now, you know the drill – please do not feel pressured to do it. You can skip it if you don’t want to or you have always done this!
That’s it, guys! Hope you enjoyed this post and got to know me a little bit better than before 🙂
Thank you so much once again for the nomination, Mischenko! It’s been fun!
Thank you all for reading as always, I’ll see you in my next post!
Thanks for the tag, lovely! I’m going to see if I can squeeze it in sometime, but it definitely won’t be during September – I think. It’ll all depend on my schedule once I get home, haha!
Definitely start baking again! That bread looks yum!

I think it was probably the first time that I stuck to my guns. I would always accommodate myself to my ex-boyfriends. He was obviously NOT happy about me dumping him over what he called ‘stupid English lessons!’ lol

Glad you weren’t hurt in the motorcycle crash…wow! You were a lucky girl!
You’re bread looks awesome! I’ve tried making bread before, but it certainly didn’t look that good!
I hope you get to celebrate Christmas sometime! I know it is based on Christianity, but it is also more that that. It’s a beautiful time of sharing and spending time with loved ones.

Haha! What a turd… exactly!! I told this Jay, but it was probably the first time I said 'No' to him and I wouldn't badge. My heart had already kind of drifted away from him lol

Good for you girl – ain’t no one got time for a scum like that who doesn’t support your ambitions! #girlpower!
OMG your baking skills are right on point – wowieee. I swear you need to open your own bakery and I will travel MILESSSS for homemade bread as beautiful as that.
Your motorcycle experience sounds absolutely traumatizing – I’m so glad you’re okay 🙂 ❤

You’re very welcome, Delphine! Haha! The boyfriend story seemed to have been a huge hit! lol As for the bread, it’d been a hit or miss, actually. Sometimes they turned out great, sometimes a complete flop. But it was soothing to play around with the dough!

Thanks for the nomination sweetie ❤ You were the 3rd person to nominate me for this since yesterday lol. I’m flattered. Not sure I can come up with 21 facts, but I’ll do what I can. And it probably won’t get posted in Sept since I’m still 7 awards and 2 tags behind from July and only blogging 2x a week now but I’ll get to it asap 🤗❤🤗 You’re boyfriend was a jerk! Glad you dumped him!! He needed it. You go!! That bread is amazing! I love to bake bread too but haven’t in forever! What is Earl Grey bread, looks delicious but I’ve never heard of it! Is it like the tea?

Thanks, Stephanie! Well, it’s small wonder you got nominated by 3 bloggers! You deserve it 🙂
Well, Earl Grey bread is as you guessed, bread uses finely chopped Earl Grey tea leaves! It’s got fainty flavor and smell of Earl Grey tea, it is delicious!

Thank you!! ❤ You’re so sweet!! Oh my!! I drink Earl Grey tea every day, and I love the smell! I imagine I would eat all the bread, lol. I’ll have to look for the recipe! I do remember after seeing your bread recipe my grandmother, years and years ago since she is dead now, making Earl Grey shortbread cookies. I was young but remember them being very good!

Ohhh, Earl Grey shortbread cookies??! Sounds so yum ❤ Is the recipe complicated? I'd love to see how they're made! I might even give it a try 'cause I looooove shortbread cookies!!! I could eat them all day every day!!

I love shortbread too!! So much!! I’m not sure to be honest since I was probably 8 or so when I remember her making them. I just remember eating them and the smell. And I’m pretty sure they had a lemon glaze, but I could be wrong!! I can ask my Aunt and see if she has the recipe though since we all have a lot of my grandmother’s recipes shared between us. I will give it to you if she does ❤

Thanks, Stephanie! What I find amazing about your culture is that each household has their own recipes and they are passed down from one generation to the next! I am not sure if it’s only my family, but there’s no ‘traditional’ family recipe in my household, we always go to cook/baking books when we need to! I think your culture is simply wonderful ❤

You’re welcome! I never really thought about it, but that is just such an ingrained part of our culture, especially here in the South. I’ve got recipes that were my great-great grandmother’s or I just make things a certain way because my mom showed me and her mom showed her and on and on. They aren’t written down, but we all make them the same way even my cousins who learned from their mom or dad who learned from my grandmother. And I will definitely say we highly value family recipes lol. I have a sister-in-law who won’t share a recipe because it’s been passed down. Quirks of our culture 😁 I appreciate you saying that and love all I’m learning about your culture since I didn’t know that much ❤❤

I love these facts! The story of dumping your boyfriend for your English lesson is so great!! Obviously he wasn’t worth all that much if he couldn’t just wait another 45 minutes!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thank you, Steph! Yes, he couldn’t wait just 45 minutes while he would often call me and wake me up in the middle of the night and tell me come to pick him up. Ha!

Thank you, Alex! Oh, I remember almost nothing about the accident itself. But yes, it was miraculous I wasn’t injured at all. My sister was kind of panicky while I was like, ‘huh? what happened?’ She thought I must have broken my leg or something, but I didn’t lol
