AWARD: Growing Self Blogger Award

Thank you so much, Mischenko@ReadRantRock&Roll for nominating me for this amazing, beautiful award.
I’ve seen this award here and there but I never imagined that you would nominate me; thank you so much Jenn, for your sweet words – you literally made me tear up!!!
Ever since I met you in this blogging community, you have always been so nice and sweet – I actually couldn’t figure out and do still wonder why you’ve been so nice to me. Yes, I am striving to be a better version of myself every single day, but I never imagined that my voice and what I post would have such a big influence on others.
Your beautiful words and comments on my post always put a smile on my face. I really appreciate your warm, generous comments and your appreciation towards me – I am so blessed to have met someone like you – I cannot thank my lucky stars enough for our friendship.

What is the Growing Self Blogger Award?

“The Growing Self Blogger Award has been created to acknowledge and celebrate amazing individuals, in the blogging community, who are persevering through life’s challenges not only to GROW as individuals, but to reach out and help others GROW as well.” ~Roda

How Does It Work:

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Thank the individual that nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Describe the award and mention the creator: Roda @
  • Nominate up to 5 blogs. Remember, the purpose of this award is to specifically celebrate those individuals that make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Give 1 reason why you nominated each individual.
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog

When I was nominated for this award, it made me really THINK. Given the meaning and the purpose of this award, I could only come up with two bloggers that I get connected several months ago and I personally think our bonds got stronger and stronger day by day through our interactions both here at WordPress and Twitter.

I’m now embracing the honor that I get to nominate…

Your gifts to me…

Misty, do you remember when I mentioned that I was a bit hesitant to pick up Me Before You because of the backlash the book has received from the disabled community? Among many comments that I got on that post, you encouraged me to pick it up without showing any sign of offense by my possibly insensitive words on that post. Reflecting on where you’re from and what you have been through, I felt so encouraged by your words and the comments you gave me on my review on that book literally made my day – I really appreciate your kind words and I’m actually crying my eyes out writing this lol So many thoughts going around in my head and cannot thank you enough for that one.
Your comment on that post made me reflect on my own words and perspectives, you gave me an opportunity to become an even better version of myself. That wouldn’t have happened had I not have met you.
I appreciate all the interactions that we have had, the comments we sent back and forth… more than anything, I do appreciate who you are and where you stand.
Thank you so much for being my inspiration, Misty. I am really glad that we have connected.

Your gifts to me…

Naty, I know you’re taking a break from blogging activity right now, but I wanted to thank you for the friendship and all the love you’ve poured into my blogging life. It’s been quite a ride to find how synchronized our book choices are and how many things we have in common. We even call each other ‘lost-twins,’ don’t we? I really appreciate you for who you are and how kind-hearted you’ve been to other bloggers, too.  Irrespective of the geological distance between where we live, you’ve always brightened up my day with your sweet comments and thought-provoking input that I had let slip.
I assume you’ve been through some rough patches in your life, but you are the first one who tweeted me back when I mentioned that I injured my toe – even when you’re on a blogging hiatus. You’ll never guess how glad I was to find your tweet.
Thank you so much, my friend. Take however long break you need and feel rested. I’ll always be here waiting for you until you’re back.

There are actually many more bloggers who impacted my life, but most of them have already been nominated, so just let me mention their names and briefly touche on how they inspired me.

Nel@reactionarytales : Thank you so much for your fun, inspiring and sometimes staggering post. You’ve opened up a whole new world for me and made me realize the world that’s much bigger than mine. I appreciate your friendship and thank you so much for bringing smiles to my face every day.

Jay@This-Is-My-Truth-Now: I don’t know where to begin… I just cannot articulate what big an influence you have on me; you’re consistently open-minded, calm and collected and incredibly generous and kind. I cannot thank you enough for being friends with me…

Stephanie@Stephanie’s Novel Fiction: Stephanie, you are one of the kindest, sweetest souls that I have found in this blogging community. Your comments always brighten up my day, and your review always inspires me to get better at book reviewing. I appreciate you so much, my dear friend!

Jo-Ann@Inspiration Pie: How could I not mention my dear Auntie Jo-Ann??? I love your blog so much and your comments are always full of love and are such a delight to read. Thank you for adopting me as your niece and sharing your days in your blog.

Steph@Lost Purple Quill: Steph, you’ve always been a source of my inspiration ever since we got connected in this blogging community. Your words are always sincere, genuine, and incredibly kind – your blog and book reviews are consistently amazing and inspire me to be a better book blogger every day. I also appreciate how you deal with the job situation. I saw a growth in that post and it struck a chord with me. You are an amazing, sweet soul, Steph and I am glad to have met you.

Last but definitely not least – thank you so much Roda@growingself for creating such a meaningful award to share with this wonderful blogging community. It’s such a bliss to reflect on what great relationships and friendships I have established in this community.

Once again, billions of thanks go to all of you – for visiting my blog, reading my posts, and everything.
Please remember that every single one of you is the reason why I’m here.

Thank you so much for reading as always, and I’ll see you in my next post!
