WWW Wednesday! : July 12, 2017

Hello, everyone! I’m back with a new feature, WWW Wednesday today!
I’ve been seeing this meme almost everywhere here at WordPress and have been meaning to try this out. Hope it works! 🙂

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words.
To participate, just answer the three questions below and link back to her or put the link to your post in the comment section of her blog so that others can look at your answers!

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Now, let’s dive into it. The books I’m currently reading are:

  • History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera
  • The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

I know, I know. I’m still slogging through those two books, but you gotta remember that I am not the fastest reader in the world; I’m a slow reader, I can only read like 30 to 50 pages per hour. So… yes, I’m still reading them and quite enjoying them so far!

I’m currently 75% into ‘History Is All You Left Me,’ and I want to finish reading this hopefully today or by tomorrow at the latest. I’m planning to make a post on my thoughts and put it up here as soon as I’ve finished the book, so look out for that!

Next up, the book that I recently finished is:

Little Brother

Cory Doctorow : Little Brother

This is a totally unexpected read; it wasn’t even in my July TBR! But the post I made last Thursday made me itching to pick this one up and ended up spending almost the entire weekend reading this book. It didn’t blow me away as much as it did with my first read, but I thoroughly enjoyed the re-read. You can read my review here.

Final question: What do I think I’ll read next??

As soon as I’ve finished History Is All You Left Me, I’ll shift my focus on The Pillars of the Earth and plan on predominantly read this one. I may or may not pick up some other books along the way, but the focus will be on The Pillars of the Earth, that’s for sure!
I’m only 10 % in the book right now and really want to make progress in this book to find out how the story unfolds! The writing is absolutely stunning, incredibly strong and descriptive. Although this book is such a tome with whopping 973 pages according to Goodreads, I’m already certain that it’s going to be a delightful read. I even asked my Bookish friend who lives in Tokyo to get the sequel on my behalf when her favorite bookstore holds a huge sale!

As for Me Before You, once again, this book wasn’t even in my July TBR but I got a lot of vehement recommendations from my dear friends here at WordPress and I decided to move this one up to my TBR, which means some of the books will have to be put on the back burner, but oh well, I figure that’ll have to do.

That’s it for today.
What are the books that you’re currently reading?
Have you finished any books recently? What books are you planning to read next?
Let me know in the comments below so that we can have some fun chatting about books!

Thank you so much for reading as always and I’ll see you all in my next post! 😉

  1. I’m glad you’re enjoying The Pillars of the Earth so far. The author surely knows how to write an epic! I didn’t like Me Before You very much, but I think I’m minority here, a lot of people recommend it very highly. I hope you like it! 🙂

    1. Hi, Naty! Thanks for commenting as always 🙂
Yes, although I’ve barely begun this book, I can tell this is going to be an epic, magnificent read involving many characters stories masterfully entwined. I didn’t skip ahead or cheat or anything, I just can tell. This is a hunch!

      1. I really enjoy your blog a lot! Your writing style is fantastic. And don’t worry about taking time to go through the book, the quality of reading is much more important than speed.

        1. OMG, Naty, that’s so sweet of you to say that! As I told you before, I always get an inferior complex whenever I set about writing a book review for the lack of my vocab and the like, but WOW, I’m so glad that you see my posts that way! That means the world to me, thank you!!
